Holiday mystery of the lost village of Tyneham
WHAT a disappointment for hundreds of Bank Holiday visitors hoping to visit Tyneham on Easter Monday.
Motorists arrived to find the car park full and the gates to the overflow car park padlocked! Instead of being able to look around the village and enjoy the walks and views of Worbarrow Bay, motorists were gridlocked trying to drive back along the narrow lane towards Creech Hill.
Consequently the village lost out on the car parking donations which help towards the conservation work.
As Tyneham is only open at certain times, let’s hope the rangers open the overflow car park on the next bank holiday for us all to enjoy.
